The new version of the Apollo 28" softbox uses tougher fibreglass ribs (stronger than steel) and includes extra velcro allowing mounting of the Apollo 28" grid without modification. The front diffuser can now be completely removed allowing the Apollo 28 to be used as a square reflective umbrella.

Westcott Apollo Umbrella frame Light Modifiers allow for quick set-up, require no adapter ring, for studio or on-location photography. Pairing this with the 5015 Shoe Mount Umbrella Bracket and 2.5m light stand offers an ideal mobile speedlite set up. Insert the speedlite directly inside the Apollo rotating the head of the speedlite towards the back of the Apollo and achieve an indirect (evenly distributed) beautiful light source. The square shape allows you to scrim or control the light more readily, and allows for 104 degrees of light spread
